Ink Review #11: Pilot Iroshizuku Shin Kai

Today I will be reviewing another Iroshizuku ink. Shin Kai translates to "Deep Sea" which is a perfect name for this cool-toned navy.

Swabs:

This ink had high shading and low sheen. The dry times were moderately longer than other brands but typical of the Iroshizuku lineup. This is a true navy which is darker than Robert Oster's Blue Denim.

Writing Sample:

The ink flow was wet and consistent for longer writing samples. This ink was easy to clean from my converters and pens and required no extra mandhandling.

Overall: Shin-Kai is a beautiful, easy navy with lots of shading. This ink is well-suited for finicky pens and nibs of all sizes!

Disclaimer: This ink was purchased by me and all opinions/photos are my own. This post was not sponsored.
