Today I will be reviewing J. Herbin's Terre de Feu. Terre de Feu translates to Tierra Del Fuego: Land of Fire. This color pays tribute to the burnt lands and deserts of these islands.
Swabs:
True to its name, this ink is reddish-purple brown with high shading and low sheen. Unlike Violette Pensee and Poussiere de Lune, this ink is not overly wet.
Terre de Feu has brown undertones compared to Platinum Cassis Black.
Writing Sample:
Overall: I was impressed by this J. Herbin ink. I gravitate towards yellow-hued browns, but felt this color was inviting and warm. This is a very pretty shade of brown with characteristic shading and great ink flow.
