Ink Review #9: Monteverde Gemstone Olivine

Today we'll be taking a look at a green ink--Monteverde Olivine. I typically don't stray from navy or black inks, so this was a reach for me!

Monteverde inks are made in Austria. Their inks are lubricated to decrease the chances of ink drying out in your pens. The Olivine color belongs to the Gemstone Collection which boasts 10 colors. I purchased the bottle from Goulet Pens. At the time of the purchase, the ink was $8.00 for 30 mL (0.26 / mL).

Swabs:

I would describe this color as a dark forest-y green. This ink has medium shading, no sheen, and a moderate dry time.

Writing Sample:

True to its claim to fame, this ink maintained a good flow and was well behaved for longer writing.

Overall: I liked this ink more than I expected. The olive color remains professional yet brings a pop of color into your day. This ink has become one of my "go-tos" as it is well behaved in all of my pens.

Disclaimer: This ink was purchased by me and all opinions/photos are my own. This post was not sponsored.
