As we near the end of White Fang (though it will be some time before it is completed in ink reviews), I wanted to take a moment and reflect. Book endings are always a bittersweet moment—I’ve become invested in the characters and their lives. I’ve especially grown fond of White Fang as well as Buck from Call of the Wild. I know that finishing a book marks the beginning of a new one—but it does feel like saying farewell to close friends.
It’s been around a year (give or take a few months) since I first started Fountain Pen Pharmacist. I’ve learned and grown a lot during this time—I learned how to run a blog, dive into the ink world, and curate a pen collection along the way. I’m especially thankful for the fountain pen community. Everyone is kind, caring, and supportive. I’m very grateful to the friends that I’ve met along the way.
I’ve kept this from the blog for some time, but I am VERY excited to announce that I’ll be starting medical school in the next few months! I’ve done some preparations and planning as far as this blog goes. I fully intend on keeping this running, and have posts scheduled until October. I expect to throw in life updates along the way. I’ve also run through a few ink review tryouts. It is highly likely that ink reviews will become shorter and more condensed.
Oh! To end this on a positive note, there are two books that I have selected as potential candidates. Black Beauty by Anna Sewell, which continues the theme of anthropomorphism and is a childhood favorite, or Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte. The latter was a pivotal novel in my angsty teenage years. I haven’t decided on the next novel but hope to within the next week or so.
To all my dear readers: thank you for joining along in this ink journey. If there are any suggestions or inks you would like to see, please feel free to contact me!
