Today we will be reviewing a J. Herbin ink! Cafe Des Iles translates to “Island Coffee” and is a chestnut brown.
Swabs:
This ink had medium shading and low sheen. The color is similar to Tono & Lims Kola Nuts and is a warm brown.

This ink had a dry flow. I experienced a few hard starts while writing this review (my Lamy 2000 was left uncapped for a few minutes).
Overall: J. Herbin Cafe Des Iles is a beautiful fall brown that is on the dry side.
