Ink Review #301: Vinta Inks Collection Blood Dugong Bugshaw Blue 1951

Today we will be reviewing Blood Dugong Bugshaw Blue, a deep blue with red sheen.

Swabs:

This ink had no shading and high sheen. The color is similar to Organics Studio Nitrogen.

This ink had an average dry time of 30 seconds and no water resistance.

This ink had very high sheen. I did not like the consistency - it was thick, similar to syrup. I had several hard starts with my Lamy. The final nail in the coffin was the smearing- this ink continued to smear even after drying for a day.

Note: The ink somehow seeped into my Lamy. I’ve spent most of a day and a half cleaning the lid, etc—-this is an ink that I don’t want to be around anymore!

Overall: Unfortunately I will have to pass on Blood Dugong Bugshaw Blue. I’m not a fan of the smearing or the consistency.
