Ink Review #363: Kala Nostalgia Gemstone Spectrolite

 

Today we’ll be reviewing Kala Nostalgia Gemstone Spectrolite! Spectrolite was discovered in 1940 and is a combination of blue, gray, and green.

Swabs:


This ink has no shading and high sheen. The color is akin to a teal-black rather than blue-black.

Dry Time/Water Resistance:

This ink had a long dry time at 45 seconds and is waterproof.

Writing Sample: 

Tomoe River Paper 52 gsm

This ink had a smooth, wet flow.

Overall: Spectrolite is a waterproof, pigmented blue-black ink.
