Today we are starting on three limited edition inks from the Tono & Lims GN series. The GN series comes with individual powder packs to add shimmer to the inks. Type K is a light orange with gold shimmer.
Note: I will be using Tsubame Note Ink Collection cards from Shigure Inks to test dry time and water resistance. The paper is thin and similar to Tomoe River Paper. The Limonaired Ink Test Cards feel like card stock.
Swabs:
This ink had low sheen and gold shimmer. The color is similar to Robert Oster Orange Rumble.

Dry Time/Water Resistance:

This ink had an average dry time of 25 seconds and had no water resistance.

I split my writing sample into two—with and without shimmer. The ink was dry. The gold shimmer was difficult to distinguish unless in large swabs. Additionally, the glitter does smear after drying—similar to Tono & Lims Phosphophyllite.
Overall: Tono & Lims GN-Type K is a pumpkin orange with a dry flow. I like the idea of adding shimmer but the gold accent was very subtle.
