Ink Review #657: Stipula Calamo Saffron Yellow

Today’s review will be on a new-to-me ink company! Stipula hails from Florence, Italy and has been making inks and fountain pens since the 1930s.

Saffron Yellow is named after the spice saffron, which originates from the saffron cricus thread. This ink had medium shading and no sheen.

Dry Time/Water Resistance:

Saffron Yellow had an average dry time of 20 seconds and no water resistance.

Writing Sample:

This ink had an average flow and medium saturation.

Overall: Saffron Yellow is a cheerful golden orange with medium shading.
