Ink Review #10: Taccia Aoguro Blue-Black

Today I will review my first Taccia ink. I recently embarked on the search for a "perfect" blue-black ink and might have hit the lottery on the first try!

Taccia Inks are made in Japan and come in a multitude of pretty colors. Their inks were first introduced in 2018 at the San Francisco Pen Show! (Speaking of which, I heard there was a great turnout for this year's show). These inks are formulated at a neutral pH which will not damage your pens.

Swabs:

This is a lovely blue-black ink. It dries quite dark and has no shading and subtle sheen. The sheen is a lovely golden red that is hard to photograph.

Writing Sample:

This ink was well-behaved for longer writing and flows well. The blue is subtle enough that the ink passes for black at the first glance.

Overall: This is a winner in my books! I am picky about my inks--if it doesn't "feel" right, then I won't splurge. I've already purchased a bottle for use in the office!
