Ink Review #38: Pelikan Edelstein Mandarin

Today I will be reviewing my first Pelikan Edelstein ink! This is a German manufacturer which makes stunning fountain pens as well a wide range of inks. Mandarin is a bright, cheerful orange which reminds me of its fruity namesake!

Swabs:

Mandarin has high shading and is brighter than Robert Oster's Orange Rumble.

This ink has no sheen, high shading, and a quick dry time. The color shades from a to a highlighter yellow-orange to a mandarin color. This ink is brighter than Robert Oster's Orange Rumble which is a pumpkin orange.

This ink pairs nicely with the Sailor Pro Gear Tequila Sunrise.

This ink flowed well and had shading in my finer nibs. It dries quickly, and gave me no issues with longer writing samples. The color is a tad bright for regular notetaking.

Overall: This is one of my favorite orange inks. I love the shading and how happy the orange color is!
