Ink Review #137: Sailor Studio 543 — Fountain Pen Pharmacist

Today we will be reviewing Sailor Studio 543, a light purplish blue.

Swabs:

This ink had a moderate dry time, medium shading, and no sheen. The color reminds me of periwinkle blue.

Writing Sample:

I found this ink to have a wet, saturated flow. I experienced no hard starts or skipping while using this in my Aurora. In general, this was a gentle blue that reminded me of bluebonnets and summer.

Overall: This is a pleasant warm blue. I don’t think I will purchase a full-sized sample because the color is a little too flat for my taste.
