Ink Review #158: Sailor Studio 941

Today’s post brings us to our last Sailor Studio blue! 941 is a dark navy.

This ink had a moderate dry time, medium shading, and high sheen. This is a dark, shimmering blue reminiscent of Taccia Ao-Guro Blue Black. Unfortunately, it is not water resistant (as seen below in the writing sample).

This ink had a consistent, slightly wet flow. without any hard starts or skips. I felt that the wetness of this ink made it perfect for my cursive italic nib which can be quite sharp at times. This is an appropriate color to use for taking notes in class or a business casual office.

Overall: Sailor 941 is a dark navy-black which is quite appealing. I like it quite a lot as it reminds me of my favorite blue-black ink from Taccia.
