Ink Review #164.5: Ferris Wheel Lady Rose

I’m interrupting the daily stream of Sailor inks to post this review! Ferris Wheel Lady Rose was a color that I had originally dismissed. It’s a dusty pink that I was not impressed with upon first glance. However, i’ve been in a pink/spring mood lately and found a soft spot for this color. I refer to it as “1980s grandma wallpaper”.

This ink had medium shading and no sheen. This is a faded pink-mauve. It’s quite dusty / beige in person which was surprising as I thought this would be a pinker ink.

I liked this ink a lot. The flow is consistent but on the dry side. It would work best in broad or medium nibs as the color is pretty pale.

Overall: I’ll admit it…I’m rather fond of this color. It’s a dusty pink that looks like it would belong with shag carpets and wood paneling. I have a bottle on my shelf and plan on using this ink for letter writing and journaling.
