Ink Review #217: Taccia Ukiyo-e Sharaku Natane (Rapeseed Yellow)

Today we are jumping back into Taccia inks. This lineup, "Ukiyo-E”, is inspired by the method of Japanese printing used in the Edo period. Sharaku Natane translates to Rapeseed Yellow and is a warm golden yellow.

This ink is a warm golden yellow high shading, no sheen, and no apparent undertones. As seen above, it is significantly more cool-toned than Diamine Honey Burst, but has less green than Robert Oster Muddy Bucket. The ink has high shading and no sheen.

I found that this ink was smooth and wet. The gold tone is very pleasant and was slightly difficult to read.

Overall: This is a beautiful golden-wheat yellow.
