Ink Review #264: Taccia Ukiyo-e Sharaku Koiame

Today I’ll be talking about another Ukiyo-e ink. This is a roasted orange that reminds me of pumpkin spice and the fall.

Swabs:

This ink had high shading and sheen. The color is a deep orange that has less yellow hues compared to Robert Oster Burnt Orange.

Dry Time/Water Resistance:

This ink had a long dry time at 40 seconds and low water resistance.

This ink had a wet and consistent flow. At times I found the ink to be overly wet but did not experience any bleed through. The color is a very pleasant dark orange.

Overall: I don’t think I will purchase a full bottle as this ink is too wet for me. The orange would be a perfect companion ink for the fall.
