Ink Review #341: Kala Nostalgia Abstraction Blue Lagoon Vapor

Today launches a series of waterproof ink reviews from Kala, a Taiwanese company. The Nostalgia Abstraction series comes in 12 pigmented colors of varying saturation. Blue Lagoon Vapor is a grey-green.

My goal for these reviews is to find inks that are suitable for note-taking! Therefore I’ve decided to use my Lamy 2000 <F> to standardize line width, flow, etc.

This ink had low shading and no sheen. The color has low saturation which makes it look washed out.

I found this ink to have a wet flow. The color goes on the paper as a medium-grey, but quickly lightens up. It is dark enough to be legible. The green is very washed out—it reminds me of sink water.

Overall: I like how this ink is waterproof but I won’t be purchasing a full bottle. It is slightly too washed out for me.
