Ink Review #440: Pelikan Edelstein Star Ruby

Today I’ll be reviewing Star Ruby, which was the Pelikan 2019 Ink of the Year.

Swabs:

This ink had low shading and low sheen. The color is a bright pink that leans red.

Dry Time/Water Resistance:

This ink had an average dry time of 15 seconds and low water resistance.

Writing Sample:

This ink was on the dry side. I did not have any hard starts or skips. The color is quite lovely and would be a great spring and summer ink.

Overall: I liked this color a lot—it’s a bright, cheerful pink.
