Ink Review #449: PENBBS #276 Chengdu Red

Today we will be taking a look at Chengdu Red. This is a medium red with gold sheen.

Swabs:

This is a dark red with no shading and high* sheen. I had difficulty photographing it; the sheen was visible under lamplight but not as much in natural light.

Dry Time/Water Resistance:

This ink had a longer dry time at 40 seconds and low water resistance.

Writing Sample:

This ink had an average, smooth flow. I liked watching the sheen pool around the edges of my letters as I wrote.

Overall: I liked the color of this red ink, but would liked to have seen better sheen. Otherwise, it is similar to other reds that I have reviewed.
