Ink Review #457: L'Artisan Pastellier Callifolio Noir

Today I will be reviewing another L'Artisan Pastellier ink. Noir is a smokey grey.

Swabs:

This ink had low shading and no sheen. The color is similar to pencil graphite and is a medium-dark gray.

This ink had an average dry time of 30 seconds and no water resistance.

Writing Sample:

I found this ink to have a dry flow. I did experience consistent hard starts (even if my pen was uncapped) in both my Pilot 823, Sailor, and Lamy 2000. The ink had a smooth flow after it started. The color is a darker grey that reminds me of thunderstorms.

Overall: Unfortunately I won’t recommend this ink, specifically because of the hard starts. These occurred often enough to cause frustration. Overall, this is a dry grey ink.
