Ink Review #472: PenBBS #518 — Fountain Pen Pharmacist

Today we will be reviewing PenBBS #518, a bright red.

Swabs:

This ink had very low shading and no sheen. This is a true red; as seen above, it lacks orange undertones.

Dry Time/Water Resistance:

This ink had an average dry time at 30 seconds and low water resistance.

Writing Sample:

I found this ink to have a smooth, slightly wet flow. The color pops and would be great for marking up papers or grading.

Overall: PenBBS #518 is a gorgeous true red. I don’t think I will be purchasing a full bottle as I tend to gravitate towards blue and blue-black inks.
