Ink Review #482: PenBBS #279 Glimmers Through Still Water

Today I will be writing about another PenBBS ink, #279. I was very excited to review this ink during the swabbing process. This is a light blue, shimmery ink.

This ink had medium shading and no sheen. It is an unsaturated grayish-blue with gold glitter. The color reminds me of Christmas lights and holiday cheer.

This ink had a long dry time at 60 seconds and high water resistance.

I found that this ink had a dry flow. I used a stub nib to show off the shading; however, the glitter was barely discernible. The color is lovely but too light for regular note-taking.

Overall: This is a pretty blue but the glitter sadly falls flat. I would have preferred a wetter flow. #279 would work best in flex or broad nibs.
