Ink Review #658: Tono & Lims The Gleaners

Today we will be reviewing a dip ink from Tono & Lims. The Gleaners is a pleasant yellow-green.

Swabs:

The Gleaners is an ink from the Tono & Lims Crystal Line- Respect Collection. This ink is meant for dip pens only —not for fountain pens! This is a desaturated yellow-green with high shading and no sheen. As seen in the above swatches, it has more yellow-leaning hues than the Kala inks.

Dry Time/Water Resistance:

This ink had an average dry time of 20 seconds and no water resistance.

Writing Sample:

I found that The Gleaners had a wet flow and average saturation. The color reminded me of the fall / harvest season.

For the writing samples, I used a Brause Rose nib 2 mm dip pen.

Overall: This is a very pretty fall ink. It behaved well and I think it would be perfect for the autumn.
