Ink Review #676 Vinta Inks Sikatuna Sandugo 1565

Today we will be reviewing Vinta Inks Sikatuna Sandungo 1565. This is a deep red ink inspired by a blood contract, a “Sandugo”, formed between Datu Sikatuna and Miguel Lopez de Legazpi in 1565.

Swabs:

This ink is a deep, velvety red with medium shading and high green sheen.

Dry Time/Water Resistance:

Tsubame Note Ink Collection Card

This ink had a longer dry time at 65 seconds and medium water resistance.

Writing Sample:

This ink had an average, even flow. I was informed that the ink itself has a high potential for staining (but thankfully did not experience any on my hands, notebook, etc).

Overall: This is a austere deep red with fantastic sheen. I thought it performed very well and would recommend purchasing a sample! The color suits the winter months perfectly.
