Ink Review #758: De Atramentis Deepwater Black Red

This week we will be reviewing de Atramentis Deepwater Black Red. I am personally fond of their document/archival line , and use Black-Blue in my Pilot 823.

Swabs:

Deepwater Black Red is a luxurious burgundy with medium shading and no sheen. This is a saturated purple with red undertones.

I absolutely loved this ink! The color is rich and well-saturated on paper. The ink had a smooth flow and without any hard starts or skips.

Overall: This is a color that I am adding to my “To-Buy” list. I don’t typically go for burgundy inks, but Deepwater Black Red is so rich/pigmented that I’m making an exception!
