Ink Review #144: Sailor Studio 440

Today’s post focuses on Sailor Studio 440.

This ink had a long dry time, no shading, and no sheen. This is a highly saturated royal blue that is a perfect match to Diamine Blue Velvet.

I found that this ink had a very wet flow and smeared easily. I would describe the color as intense; the high saturation causes the blue to jump out at you on the page.

Overall: Sailor 440 is an extremely bright blue. I don’t think I will be repurchasing this ink as it is similar to other samples.
