Ink Review #145: Sailor Studio 540 — Fountain Pen Pharmacist

Today’s ink review centers on Sailor Studio 540 and marks our halfway point as it is the 50th Sailor ink!

Swabs:

This ink had a moderate dry time, medium shading, and no sheen. The color is a close match to Birmingham Silent Spring.

Writing Sample:

This ink had a consistent flow. The shading was visible with larger writing samples.

Overall: This is a smooth, velvety blue.
