Ink Review #187: Sailor Studio 873

Today we will be reviewing Sailor Studio 873. This is a mid orange-brown.

Swabs:

This ink had a moderate dry time, high shading, and very low sheen. I would describe this as a burnt orange-brown.

Tomoe River Paper 52 gsm

Writing Sample:

I was pleasantly surprised by this sample. The shading is beautiful and provides depth to the color.

Overall: This is a coppery orange-brown with high shading. I won’t be purchasing a full bottle as it is similar to other brown inks that I have reviewed.
