Ink Review #208: Diamine Eau de Nil

Today we will be reviewing an ink that was highly recommended by a close friend. Diamine Eau de Nil translates to “Water of the Nile” and is a medium blue-green.

Swabs:

This ink had high shading and low red sheen. The color is a calm blue with green undertones—not quite as green-leaning as Pelikan Edelstein Aquamarine

Water Resistance/Dry Time:

This ink had a long dry time at 40 seconds, but medium-high water resistance. I prefer waterproof inks myself, but am pleased that Eau de Nil seems to be quite water-resistant.

I had a wonderful time testing this sample. The shading and variation exceeded my expectations. Additionally, this had a wet, lubricated flow.

Overall: I recommend trying out a sample if you are a fan of shading blue inks.
