Ink Review #213: Sailor Sou-Boku

Today I will be reviewing one of my favorite work inks. Sailor Sou-Boku is a nano-pigmented waterproof blue-black. It’s perfect for the office as I don’t have to worry about coffee/water spills.

This ink has medium shading and red sheen. This is a deep blue-black ink that would fit in perfectly with office or class notes.

This card summarizes why I like Sou-Boku so much—a moderate dry time combined with high water resistance.

I found that this ink demonstrated adequate shading and sheen, even in a <F> nib. The ink had a smooth, consistent, regular flow.

Overall: As mentioned above, this is one of my favorite blue-black inks. I have my Lamy 2000 permanently inked with Sailor Sou-Boku and even purchased a full bottle. I highly recommend trying a sample!
