Ink Review #238: J. Herbin Emerald of Chivor

Today I’ll be reviewing another J. Herbin ink. Emerald of Chivor is an ink that is often recommended for its sheen and glitter.

This ink had medium shading, high red sheen, and gold shimmer. The color is a deep green-leaning teal .

This ink had a quick dry time at 15 seconds and low water resistance.

I found this ink to have a generously wet flow. The gold glitter and red sheen compliment the teal nicely.

Overall: Interestingly, I wasn’t as impressed with this color as much as I thought I would be. The teal is on the green side and although the sheen and glitter are pretty, they are not enough to warrant a full-bottle purchase.
