Ink Review #247: Papier Plume Lover's Red

Today I’ll be introducing another ink brand to the blog! Papier Plume Inks is a company founded in 2001. They are based in New Orleans, LA and offer fountain pens, bags, and handcrafted inks. Lover’s Red is a brownish red. *

*I would like to apologize for this (and the next few) posts as the paper is quite wrinkly. I managed to spill 16 oz (480 mL) of water onto my desk and ink journal. Previous reviews were thankfully not affected but water managed to soak into the remaining pages.

Swabs:

This ink had medium shading and no sheen. The color reminds me of faded red beans.

This ink had a long dry time of 40 seconds and medium water resistance.

I liked this color a lot! It’s a characteristic warm red. I found that this ink had a regular, consistent flow.

Overall: This is a rusty red with lots of shading. I didn’t have any issues with this ink and recommend trying out a sample!
