Ink Review #290: Diamine Poppy Red — Fountain Pen Pharmacist

Today I’ll be reviewing Diamine Poppy Red.

Swabs:

This ink had low shading and very low gold sheen (almost indiscernible). The color is a bright, saturated red. Similar colors include de Atramentis Poppy Red and Taccia Aka Red.

Dry Time/Water Resistance:

This ink had a long dry time of 40 seconds and medium water resistance.

Writing Sample:

I found that this ink was slightly wet with a consistent flow. It was well-behaved and did not give me any issues. The red would be great for taking class notes or grading.

Overall: This is a well-behaved red ink with excellent flow.
