Ink Review #312: Blackstone Blue Gum (Scented)

Today I’ll be talking about another Blackstone ink. Blue Gum is a dark teal and smells like mint toothpaste. The smell is meant to represent the Australian Blue Gum (Eucalyptus Globulus) tree.

Swabs:

This ink had medium shading and high sheen. It’s a close match to Diamine Aurora Borealis.

This ink had a long dry time at 40 seconds and no water resistance.

I found this ink to be on the wet side with a consistent flow. The sheen complements the color nicely, and I did not notice any smearing after the ink had dried. I did have a few hard starts with this ink but nothing to write home about.

Overall: This is a smooth dark teal with lots of sheen.
