Ink Review #324: Kyo-Iro #3 Flaming Red of Fushimi

Today we’re reviewing a Kyo-Iro ink. These inks are made for the Kyoto TAG stationery store are inspired by the city’s scenery.

This ink had low shading and sheen. I didn’t quite see a bright red—instead the color is pale and slightly watered down.

This ink had an average dry time at 15 seconds and medium/low water resistance.

I found this ink to be on the dry side. It performed well. This would be a good ink to use for grading.

Overall: This is a pleasant red but not as bright as I expected.
