Ink Review #324: Kyo-Iro #3 Flaming Red of Fushimi
Today we’re reviewing a Kyo-Iro ink. These inks are made for the Kyoto TAG stationery store are inspired by the city’s scenery.
Swabs:
This ink had low shading and sheen. I didn’t quite see a bright red—instead the color is pale and slightly watered down.
Dry Time/Water Resistance:
This ink had an average dry time at 15 seconds and medium/low water resistance.
Writing Sample:
I found this ink to be on the dry side. It performed well. This would be a good ink to use for grading.
Overall: This is a pleasant red but not as bright as I expected.
