Ink Review #338: 3 Oysters Red Wine

Today is a bittersweet post because it marks the end of White Fang. As mentioned before, I’ve become very attached to White Fang throughout these past 6 months. 3 Oysters Red Wine is the perfect color to mark the end of a wonderful book.

This ink had low shading and no sheen. The color is a rich, deep purple with red undertones. It is similar to Yama Budo but leans on the purple end of the spectrum. As seen in the water test below, it has slightly yellow hues.

This ink had an average dry time of 25 seconds and medium water resistance. The purple washes out to a pale yellow.

I found this ink to be dry but it worked well when paired with my Pelikan. The color is lovely and would be perfect in the fall.

Overall: I really liked this color. It’s the perfect shade of burgundy without looking too dusty.
