Ink Review #351: Kala Nostalgia Abstraction Mongolian Sandstorm

Today we will be taking a look at Kala Mongolian Sandstorm. This is a light purple with low saturation. I actually forgot to order a sample from Shigure Inks during my Kala Nostalgia order, so I picked a poem to write instead of transcribing from Wuthering Heights.

This ink had medium shading and no sheen. The purple has warm undertones.

I found this ink to be well-behaved. The color is a little pale but I liked that it had an average flow. It is easy to handle and is easy to read.

Overall: I like this color more than the heavily pigmented samples in this collection. Overall, I wasn’t impressed enough to order a full bottle. The ink is well behaved but a little paler than I would like.
