Ink Review #354: Kala Nostalgia Gemstone Grey Agate

Today we’ll be talking about another ink. Gray Agate is a medium gray.

Swabs:

This ink had little to no shading and no sheen. The color is a few shades lighter than Noodler’s Lexington Gray.

Dry Time/Water Resistance:

This ink had quite a long dry time at 50 seconds and is waterproof.

Writing Sample:

This ink had a moderately wet flow. I found that I was still able to write quickly and comfortably, without fear that the pen would skate freely over the paper. The color is pleasant to read and dries to a chalky finish. This is quite close to an HB pencil.

Overall: I liked this ink! I have a feeling I might prefer the Gemstone series over the Abstraction series. This is a pleasant medium gray ink.
