Ink Review #424: L'Artisan Pastellier Callifolio Bourgogne

Today we will be reviewing another L'Artisan Pastellier ink. Bourgogne translates to “burgundy” and is a dark purple.

This ink had low shading and no sheen. The color is saturated and reminds me of purple grapes.

I found this ink to have a smooth, slightly dry flow. The color is lovely on paper and is a great alternative for reddish-purple inks. The purple is dark and legible but not oversaturated with black.

Overall: Like other Callifolio inks, Bourgogne is well-behaved and fountain pen friendly. The color is a beautiful purple that can be used in journaling or at the office.
