Ink Review #584: Monteverde Black Ash — Fountain Pen Pharmacist

Today I will be reviewing Monteverde Black Ash.

Swabs:

This ink had no sheen and low-medium shading. This is a warm black with purple undertones.

Dry Time/Water Resistance:

This ink had a longer dry time at 40 seconds and low water resistance.

Writing Sample:

This ink had an average, smooth flow. It’s not as purple as swatches suggest; at first glance, one would mistake the color for a warm greyish black.

Overall: In my opinion this was a standard black ink. It’s suitable for office meetings and classwork.
