Ink Review #684: Kyo-No-Oto #04 Yamabuki Iro

Today we will be taking a look at Kyo-No-Oto Yamabuki Iro, which translates to mountain rose.

Swabs:

Yamabuki had low shading and no sheen. It is a medium gold yellow.

Dry Time/Water Resistance:

This ink had an average dry time of 20 seconds and low water resistance.

I found this ink to have an average saturation. Like most Kyoto inks, it had a dry flow.

Overall: Yamabuki Iro was a pleasant yellow. It’s quite dry so I would recommend mixing the ink with White Lightning or using it with a wet nib.
