Ink Review #183: Sailor Studio 473 — Fountain Pen Pharmacist

Today is our first orange Sailor Studio ink! 473 is a bright, vivacious orange.

Swabs:

This ink had a moderate dry time, high shading, and low silver sheen. This is a mandarin orange that is quite warm compared to Pelikan Edelstein Mandarin. There are no visible yellow undertones. The color reminds me of orange sherbet.

Writing Sample:

I found this ink to have a consistent, smooth flow. It would work well in the summer or for emphasizing notes during class.

Overall: This is a beautiful cream orange. I recommend trying a sample!
