Ink Review #243: Pilot Iroshizuku Fuyu-Syogun

It’s been a while since I’ve reviewed an Iroshizuku ink! Fuyu-Syogun translates to Old Man Winter and is a pleasant cool grey.

This ink had high shading and no sheen. The color is a light grey with purple undertones. As seen above, it is considerably cooler than Pilot Iroshizuku Kiri-Same.

I liked this color a lot. The grey reminded me of cool rainy skies. Like other Iroshizuku inks, this sample had a consistent and wet flow.

Overall: I’m a huge fan of Iroshizuku inks and was not disappointed by Fuyu-Syogun. The color is a pretty blue-grey that is well-behaved, easy to clean, and has great shading.
