Ink Review #328: De Atramentis Standard Amarant

Today we’ll be taking a look at De Atramentis Amarant. This is a medium brown with warm undertones.

Swabs:

This ink had low shading and no sheen. I struggled to describe this color. It’s brown with pink (purple?) undertones. At times it looks a bit rusty.

Dry Time/Water Resistance:

This ink had a fast dry time of 15 seconds and high water resistance.

Writing Sample:

This ink had an average to wet flow. The color is dark and legible. I didn’t experience any hard skips or starts.

Overall: Overall, this is a well-behaved purple-brown ink.
