Ink Review #349: Kala Nostalgia Abstraction Spring Rain

Today we’ll be reviewing Kala Spring Rain. Shigure Inks describes this as a blue-black ink.

This ink had no shading and low red/copper sheen. The color is a true black. I do not see any blue undertones.

This ink had an extremely long dry time at over 60 seconds and is waterproof.

I found that this ink behaved similarly to Kala Storming Rainforest and Platinum Classic Black. I experienced hard starts and some skipping while testing out this ink.

Overall: This is an average pigment-based ink. The redeeming factor is the waterproof qualities. Other than that, I don’t see any other attributes that would make me recommend this ink over other black pigmented inks.
