Ink Review #686: Rohrer & Klingner Frieda

Today’s ink review is quite special - it marks the end of another book! Pride and Prejudice is the fourth book that I have finished on this blog, and has been one of my favorite movies for ages! Where to next?

Moving onwards, today’s ink review will focus on Rohrer & Klingner Frieda. Frieda is from the sketchINK line, and is waterproof, lightfast, and specially made with nano pigments to improve ink flow.

Swabs:

Frieda had medium shading and no sheen. The color is a blue-grey ink that leans towards the blue end of the spectrum.

Frieda was well saturated with a wet, even flow. This turned my Lamy 2000 into a gusher —I recommend using a fine or extra-fine nib, or a pen with a dry flow.

Overall: I really liked this color. It’s a beautiful shade of blue, and would be perfect for note taking. I definitely recommend trying out a sample if you are a fan of blue/grey/blue-black inks!
